Sippy Downs, often referred to as the estate name of Chancellor Park, is located on Queensland's Sunshine Coast within the Sunshine Coast Regional Council. It is just south of Buderim and Tanawha, and is 9 km west of Mooloolaba, near the intersection of the Bruce Highway and the Sunshine Coast Motorway. 

The Mooloolah National Park is also part of Sippy Downs. It is one of the Sunshine Coast's most rapidly growing and significant communities. 

The name Sippy is said to be a derivation of the Aboriginal word 'dhippy' or 'jippi' meaning bird or winged creatures. Early white settlers used the land for grazing, timber and later sugar cane farming. It was earmarked for settlement as Sunshine Coast development boomed from the 1960s, but a major residential community did not start to take shape until the Sunshine Motorway opened in 1990.

The University of the Sunshine Coast opened at Sippy Downs in 1996 and was significant in the growth of the area as a planned community. Future developments include a major Town Centre which will support the residential estates, the largest of which is Chancellor Park, and Palmview directly south. Sippy Downs boasts first-class public and private schools and is also home to a growing retail and commercial precinct, which includes major banks & retailers such as Woolworths, Joyce Mayne, 1st Choice, to name a few.
