The Sunshine Coast Environment Council (SCEC) has scheduled an “Introduction to Electric Bikes” group ride at Sippy Downs as part of this year’s Bike Week events. We have received funding from the Sunshine Coast Council to deliver 12 monthly rides across the region, and they are part of SCEC’s commitment to encouraging more sustainable transport choices for some journeys.
The Sippy Downs ride will be from 8 am to 10 am on Saturday 13 October, departing from Windmill Park, Oxford Close, Sippy Downs.
The rides are free to participants, and bikes and helmets are supplied. SCEC Reps will commence with a technical and safety briefing and finish with a friendly morning tea.
There are a LIMITED number of positions with just 10 spots available so bookings will fill up fast.
Bookings can be made by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or telephoning 0407116105.

SDDCA President Matthew Druce said “We cannot urge the community strongly enough to get along to this community meeting and SDDCA AGM to get a true and accurate snapshot of exactly what is happening locally, especially the two presentations on proposed community facilities for Sippy Downs.
Establishment of much needed community facilities for Sippy Downs is welcome news. We are calling on residents to come along and be involved in the progression of these facilities.
Open to each and every member of the community from visitors to residents and business representatives, this evening always presents a fantastic opportunity for locals to stay up to date with what has, is and will be happening locally.
