Background :

Through town planning consultant Innovative Planning Solutions, the Sippy Downs & District Community Association Inc (SDDCA) has been engaging with the landowner re a parcel of land bordering Chancellor Park Estate, located on Peter Crosby Way, Sippy Downs. The late Peter Crosby farmed the land for almost 50 years and had a vision to see community facilities delivered on this land for the benefit of Sippy Downs residents. The SDDCA has been engaging with Ben Crosby, who continues to have a contractual interest, and new landowners Living Choice Australia.

To paint a clear picture of the development site – it is mainly cleared farmland. All of the mature trees bordering Red Cedar Street and Sippy Creek would be retained. Of the 50ha site, only 13ha is proposed for development.

Eaton Park Upgrades Coming to Sippy Downs Park Network

Eaton Park Upgrades Coming to Sippy Downs Park Network

Hi all,

I am very excited to announce that my office has fully funded some major park upgrade works at Eaton Park here in Sippy Downs.

These upgrades come directly from the priorities raised by the Sippy Downs community in the development of the Sippy Downs Parks Master Plan: https://www.sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au/Council/Planning-and-Projects/Council-Plans/Sippy-Downs-Parks-Master-Plan

I am thrilled to advise that works at Eaton Park, Sippy Downs are due to commence on the 24th June (weather permitting).

Works will include:

  • installation of a multi-purpose court and sports wall.
  • relocation of the existing netball post onto a new concrete slab.
  • removal of existing BBQ units (end of life asset and failing) and replacement with a brand new modern double unit.
  • Installation of rugby/soccer goal posts.
  • drainage improvement works.installation of 2x park entry signs.

I’m positive these park upgrades will be a welcomed addition to our awesome Sippy Downs community.

Works are expected to be completed early to mid-August.

Warm regards,

Christian Dickson

Not only that but next year the kids will be running around the paddock in brand new jerseys – thanks to a generous sponsorship agreement with Banjo’s Bakery, Sippy Downs.

Can’t wait to see you all on the fields in the new year.

Eaton Park Update – Sippy Downs

Eaton Park Update – Sippy Downs

Eaton Park Update – Sippy Downs.

I am just posting a few photos of the recent upgrading works at the entrance to Eaton Park in Sippy Downs. Council will look to top-dress the grassed areas in the coming weeks to improve the surface for when the new goal posts are installed in the near future.

This is another result of the recently endorsed Sippy Downs Parks Masterplan. More exciting works to come into the future. Stay tuned.

Kind regards,

Christian
