Something very exciting is coming to the Glenfield’s Neighbourhood Park at Mountain Creek in the near future. It’s great to be working alongside the Mountain Creek Neighbourhood Watch and their coordinator Wendy Walker to make this happen.
Upgrading our local parks right across Division 6 has always been a high priority for me and these major projects continue my commitment to making our local areas more family friendly and community focussed.
Please find attached the latest project news which is being hand delivered to locals around the park in the leadup to the construction of this exciting upgrade.

As many would know, these upgrades form part of the Sippy Downs Parks Masterplan which outlines specific upgrades and outcomes for the entire Sippy Downs area.
Additional upgrades and projects will be delivered in the coming years with a hope to overhaul the entire suburb in the process.

Through town planning consultant Innovative Planning Solutions, the Sippy Downs & District Community Association Inc (SDDCA) has been engaging with the landowner re a parcel of land bordering Chancellor Park Estate, located on Peter Crosby Way, Sippy Downs. The late Peter Crosby farmed the land for almost 50 years and had a vision to see community facilities delivered on this land for the benefit of Sippy Downs residents. The SDDCA has been engaging with Ben Crosby, who continues to have a contractual interest, and new landowners Living Choice Australia.
To paint a clear picture of the development site – it is mainly cleared farmland. All of the mature trees bordering Red Cedar Street and Sippy Creek would be retained. Of the 50ha site, only 13ha is proposed for development.
