Infrastructure charges
It was alarming for ratepayers to read that “developers’ costs will be slashed under changes by the state government”.  Reforms based on proposals by the Infrastructure Charges Taskforce will see maximum charges set for trunk infrastructure which includes water, sewerage, storm water, roads and parks.

There was concern that additional infrastructure costs in relation to Palmview would be passed onto residents; however it appears that this will not be the case with the Palmview development due to the infrastructure agreements that council already has in place with developers.
