Road Reseal – Narranda Place and Rakumba Place, Mountain Creek
Tuesday 15th till Friday 18th October 2019
Sunshine Coast Council has contracted Allens Asphalt Pty Ltd to undertake the resurfacing of the above local roads.
Restricted on-street parking will be in place between the hours of 7am and 5pm. Please be advised that parking vehicles on a bicycle path, footpath, shared path, dividing strip or a nature strip may result in a parking infringement being issued in accordance with the Council’s Local Laws.
Due to the nature of these works, vehicle movement in the area will be restricted when works commence. In most cases, properties will only be inaccessible for a maximum of 15 minutes. If required, immediate access to your property by emergency vehicles will be arranged. Local traffic will be able to access their properties during working hours as indicated above and traffic management measures will be in place to ensure safe conditions for all pedestrians and motorists. The final phase of works to be conducted, includes the reinstatement of road surface line marking and signage. These activities may be conducted outside of normal business hours in the interests of reducing traffic congestion.
Road safety is critical to Council’s operations and we ask you to please drive safely and cautiously whilst these works are underway. All motorists are urged to slow down and give road workers plenty of space. Council apologises for any resulting inconvenience and assures you that every attempt will be made to minimise disruptions. However, we suggest you plan and allow more travelling time during these works. We appreciate your cooperation and patience while works are underway.
This project forms part of Council’s $20.2M Road Reseal and Rehabilitation Program for this financial year and our commitment to providing and maintaining the necessary infrastructure to service the needs of the Sunshine Coast region. Council provides the delivery of safe, efficient and high quality services to ensure the long term sustainability and value of community assets.
