How do businesses sort out the problem of ‘general waste’? For too long, people have been burning, burying or diffusing the leftovers of daily life, however this way of life is coming to an end. Going Zero Waste is easier than most people think – but it takes planning, reusable products, great communication, and a commitment to sustainable outcomes. Joe has worked in the events and sustainability industries over the past six years, and brings his experience of building and implementing social strategies for greener events.

4556 Chamber of Commerce President: Ryan McLintockFrom Our President

I am writing to inform you of my resignation as your President of the 4556 Chamber of Commerce. This decision has not come easy, however, this is the correct decision for myself personally and professionally at this time as I seek to take on further opportunities. I have been fortunate enough to be involved with the 4556 Chamber since February 2013 and then as President from November 2013. During that time I have met some amazing people along the way and have been lucky enough to work with an inspirational executive management team.

The 4556 Chamber of Commerce is an integral part of the local business community joining together the varying suburbs of Buderim, Sippy Downs, Forest Glen, Tanawah and Kunda Park for the first time. This vision and mission is essential with focus on working across each business community. This allows us to create a platform for networking, education and to assist businesses in getting to know each other with the vision of us all working together and in turn stimulate the local economy.

My resignation has created an opportunity for dynamic and passionate leader to take the reins of the chamber leading the executive team to continue to meet the organisational goals whilst supporting the members across the 4556 post code. The executive team felt it was very important to notify each you, our valued members, notifying the position that has become available. We are now seeking expressions of interest for this position so if you think this is the challenge for you or you know the person perfect for this position then please forward expressions of interest to our Secretary Gail Lockyer at

In addition to this the 4556 Chamber of Commerce is also looking for a Vice President to partner and support the President ensuring its success for the future of the 4556 Chamber of commerce and its strong member base.

Nominations will close on Monday 22nd June and voting will take place on Tuesday 23rd June. Please note as a part of the constitution only members of the 4556 Chamber of Commerce are allowed to be nominees for the above positions. Pleasecontact us if you wish to discuss this further.

Thank you for your time and I am confident that 4556 Chamber is in good hands to continue its growth in the local area.

Ryan McLintock

Speed It Up – Business grade broadband coverage

In response to significant feedback from the community, Digital Sunshine Coast has partnered with a range of telecommunications providers to display coverage maps that demonstrate business grade broadband availability.

The information provided comes directly from the telecommunications providers; each of them were requested to provide one type of technology solution that would best meet the needs of the business community.
The Digital Sunshine Coast team and its partners do not endorse any one telecommunication provider over the other. This map is still a work in progress, however it has been created to help the business community with information regarding potential solutions now.
