With the recent announcement of the launch of the “Views Residences” development launching this Saturday (Tomorrow) the 14th of September going out online in the Sunshine Coast Daily to paid users only we thought prudent to gather all the information so that the entire community could access the information on the event, the development and some important background information.
The Views Residences development by Vantage Group in collaboration with Pratt Property and Kosta Spilios forms part of the residential development footprint for the long awaited Sippy Downs Town Centre which has been progressing steadily after many years of waiting following initial official commitments back in 2006 as detailed in a release here on the Community Website in June last year titled “Sippy Downs & The Town Centre – Part 1 \ Birth & Growth“.
This information release produced by the Community Website volunteer team was followed up shortly thereafter with the release of “Sippy Downs & The Town Centre Part 2 – The Destination” delivering a concise mapped picture of the length and breadth of the Towns Centre’s Residential, Commercial, Business, Medical & Technology and Education development plans as detailed in the Sunshine Coast Planning Scheme.
Commercial Construction Manager for Vantage Building Group, Brady Whitehead, says the project not only offers incredible views from apartment towers Skyline and Horizon, but will be just as impressive delivering for the local economy.
“We are really proud to be a major employer on the Sunshine Coast and almost all roles for the Views complex will be filled by local employees, tradesmen and contractors. Views will be close to a
growing employment hub in Sippy Downs, and we will be a major contributor to economic growth in the region through this $65 million project during and after completion,” Brady said.
“Local Division 6 Councillor Christian Dickson said that there had been significant momentum and business confidence building around the Sippy Downs Towns Centre precinct over the past 4 years”.
“Although the planning around the University Town was conceived nearly 20 years ago, we are finally starting to see the investment and delivery of living accommodation, commercial work spaces and the necessary infrastructure that goes with that”.
“Major local projects currently underway such as the $12m four lane upgrade of Sippy Downs Drive which is to be completed in December 2019 goes to show the community how serious we are as a council in making sure the area thrives into the future, he said”.
The Views Residences development will offer amazing views of local beaches and the hinterland, with 142 apartments and 24 town homes conveniently located close to the Sunshine Coast University and other amenities on Sippy Downs Drive.
“With the project delivering 166 dwellings the forecast 300 residents will be within walking distance to the Sippy Downs precinct and will help increase demand for local retail, hospitality, health and childcare services. The first residents within our townhomes will be ready to move in around Easter 2020,” Brady added.
Vantage Building Group will host an Open Day on Saturday 14th September from 10am to 2pm at the Views Residences site at 31 Sippy Downs Drive which will feature entertainment, fun for kids and families and the chance to learn more about the development.
“We will have face painting and balloons for the kids, a free BBQ, free cold drinks and coffee from our coffee van, competitions and prizes, and a live broadcast from SEA FM. It’s a fun way to get to
know more about the breath-taking potential of Views for our community,” Brady said.
The project will create a large number of jobs over the build period, estimated at around 24 months and it will also assist with housing options for students, young couples and down-sizers. Views Residences have also shared that their “full intention is to assist young people particularly in entering the real estate market” and with Apartments & Townhomes listed with pricing starting from $349,500 we would have to agree that this is a great opportunity for locals.
