This year’s Christmas Eve Carols is free family-friendly event will be held on the oval behind the Chancellor State College Primary Campus Hall (See Map Below) and if the weather is inclement the event will proceed in the hall. This year’s Christmas Eve Carols thanks to, Chancellor Park Community Church who are, this year, supported by the Sippy Downs & District Community Assoc.
The Sausage Sizzle is free and Barista made Coffee will be available for a gold coin donation with some activities for kids available after 6pm.


  • Kicks off at 6pm with Sausage Sizzle and Fun for the kids
  • 7 pm Carols and Christmas Eve Celebration


Free parking is available in Scholars Drive at the primary school and parking is also available at the nearest car parks at University however fees may apply. See picture below for more details.

This is a great opportunity for local parents and children to meet and enjoy some fun in the sun.
Bring along your picnic blanket and baskets, a ball, kite, frisbee or cricket set.

We will be having a sausage sizzle on the day,

We have invited a fantastic range of community stakeholders and representatives to speak in order to provide the most informative update possible. Speakers will be providing detailed updates and information on community projects, development, challenges and reasons for celebration.

Open to each and every member of the community from visitors to residents business representatives this evening always presents a fantastic opportunity for locals to stay up to date with what has, is and will be happening locally.

The Sippy Downs Districts Community Association has been supporting and representing the best interests of locals in the Sippy Downs, Tanawha and Palmview area for over 10 plus years with the support of members of the community just like you.

Each and every year we open the doors to the wider community to stand up and make a positive impact on the local area for the year ahead. If you are a passionate, honest and teamwork oriented local resident and want to join the existing team to nurture and build upon the great work achieved over the last 10 years within community engagement, community spirit and community ownership we would love to hear from you.

SDDCA AGM 2016 – Public Date Notification

1937471_527904220642614_2702356975071908901_nPlease be advised the annual general meeting of the Sippy Downs & District Community Association Inc (SDDCA) will be held on Wednesday 28th of September 2016, commencing at 7 pm.

The venue will be the Chancellor State College Primary Campus Hall, Scholars Drive, Sippy Downs.
All residents are welcome to attend the AGM, but only financial members of the SDDCA are able to vote.

Household Membership is $20 per household per year or $10 for concession holders. To become a member now click HERE.

Formal invitations and Guest speakers will sent out and announced over the coming weeks with invited speakers representing a diverse range of community stakeholders and representatives set to provide an informative update on the local area.

NominationsAny financial member of the SDDCA is eligible to nominate – nomination forms are available by request by simply emailing us at, by download HERE and submission by clicking HERE or simply complete the online form HERE.

Nominations close at 5 pm on 13th September 2016.

The following positions of will be declared vacant at the AGM – President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Webmaster and Committee members.

A number of current members of the management committee will be renominating however we call out to the community for anyone interesting in building upon the great work done by the SDDCA over the last 10 plus years by joining the management team for the 2016 – 17 year and beyond.
