The old adage don’t cry over spilled milk is very wise indeed and the message is simple… the only time we have any power to enact change is before something happens.
Something is about to happen, the milk is spilling, but it’s not spilled yet! As we have shared before, it is important that the community stands up and shows their desire for a much needed proposed community facility precinct for Sippy Downs – by completing a letter of support which can be completed via the link below.
Submitted letters of support will be used to demonstrate community interest to the council.
This link also includes images and information on the proposal.

I am proud to announce for the very first time publicly that council have now secured a 1500m2 piece of land in the Sippy Downs Town Centre to work towards delivering a community facility and library at Sippy Downs.
The land is located behind the Coles shopping centre and I’m excited to announce that $50,000 has been secured to start the necessary works to engage with the community to identify your needs. We will also look at the possibilities of carrying out joint ventures and partnerships to deliver a multi-purpose facility to maximise community use.
For those of you who have followed the journey for some time this is a major milestone and a genuine commitment from council to get the ball rolling and moving into something meaningful for locals.
Given the enormity of the project, I expect that engagement with the community would occur this calendar year to inform councils budget process over the coming years. It will also be imperative to seek external grants from the State and Federal Government to bring this dream to reality.
I am so proud to have travelled the journey to this point in time and I thank locals for their support and patience in this exciting process.
Please see the attached memo/images to fully understand the situation. You can view them by clicking each one individually.
When I have further information I will let you know.
